As a school we are dedicated to ensure that our children achieve the best possible outcomes. We are rightly very proud that based upon end of KS2 data, in 2023 we were ranked in the top 25 schools in County Durham in an article in the Northern Echo (October 2024).

Swimming Data
We have a swimming pool on our school site which from January 2025 is managed by Durham Local Authority.
Our children perform extremely well and for a number of years we have taken a very different approach. Rather than all children going swimming only those children who have not yet attained the required standard go swimming as part of their timetabled PE. This has had an extremely positive impact upon:
- Self-esteem of children.
- Participation within lessons.
- Improving outcomes.

Our OFSTED Inspection: March 2022
We are really pleased to make a copy of our most recent OFSTED inspection available on our school website.
We are delighted that as a school we continue to be judged as a good school and that the report gives clear recognition of many of the things that we are so rightly proud of about our school.
It is so important that our children are happy and that there is a sense of fun within school, with relationships between adults and pupils described as being strong and respectful.
The inspector clearly recognised that all staff expect the very best of our pupils and that safeguarding arrangements are effective.
