A Special Centenary Event
We could not be prouder of our children. During Remembrance Week, we all worked exceptionally hard to produce work which was displayed at our special community Remembrance Exhibition, in honour of the 100 years anniversary of the ending of World War One.
Our children learned all about the Blitz. what it was like to have been evacuated, rationing and cooking, the important role that women played in the war effort, the role of the RAF and life in the trenches. It has taught us the meaning of respect, honour, pride, courage, bravery and resilience.
We were delighted that WO2 Eastwood from 8 Rifles Battalion could join us and take part in our service at the Cenotaph.
Many thanks to parents, families and Governors who took the time to visit our exhibition and shared the learning, work of our pupils and wartime memorabilia.
