Understanding Risks
The 4 Cs of Online Safety (Content, Contact, Conduct, Commerce) helps us to identify areas on risks that come with the online world.
This framework helps understand risks in four key areas:
Exposure to inappropriate material like violence, hate speech, self-harm promotion, or pornography.
Interactions with strangers, online predators, cyberbullying, or unwanted contact.
Risky behaviors like sharing too much personal info, sexting, or participating in risky challenges.
Financial risks, including online scams, phishing, in-app purchases, or fraudulent advertising.
Parent Guides and Information
As a school we feel it is vitally important to provide parents and carers with up to date information to help guide and inform you to make choices in order to help keep our children as safe as possible.
The following guides are produced by the National Online Safety Centre and are very much about 'What PARENTS need to know!'
They are deliberately organised under the 4 key risk categories: Content, Contact, Conduct, and Commerce.
