Children should not wear jewelry which includes earrings. We do allow children to wear plastic retainers; however, the school regards it as a health and safety issue for children to wear earrings due to the active nature of their learning. Please ensure that they are removed before coming to school as otherwise you will be required to come to school to remove the earrings.

Foundation stage children are expected to wear school uniform. Our range of school uniform is as follows:

• Blue jumper, or cardigan  - required

• Blue school hoodie (with school logo)- optional

• Pale blue or white polo shirt - required

• Grey or black trousers, school trouser style shorts or skirt- required (children in nursery may wear black jogging bottoms or leggings).

• Blue and white gingham dress – optional

• Grey culottes - optional

• Black shoes or black trainers without noticeable logos- required

• Grey, black or white socks, or grey or black tights – required

• Blue cap – required during the summer months for sun safety reasons

• Warm hat, gloves, or mittens- required for colder months and weather

PE Kit

We will have clear expectations for PE kit. It is an expectation that all children wear PE kit whenever they have PE. The kit may vary slightly dependent upon the season and weather.  Children should come into school dressed in their PE kit on the days they have PE which will be confirmed at the start of the school year.

Our school PE kit is part of the dress code. Children should dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared for outdoor PE sessions. Our range of PE kit consists of:

• White or blue t-shirt or polo shirt - required

• Blue or black shorts - required

• Black tracksuit bottoms or black leggings – required for outdoor PE sessions

• Trainers or gym shoes – required

• Trainers for outdoor PE – required

• Black skorts - optional

• Blue sweatshirt or blue school hoodie - required

We also have a preloved uniform shop that any parent/carer can access.

The shop is managed by the school office staff. Items are on display in the main entrance and can be purchased at a very low cost: £1 for like new, logoed items and 50p for like new, non-logoed items. We also have a box of wearable items for which there is no charge. 

Much of the uniform is in excellent condition. All monies raised contribute to the school fund. Perhaps you might just want a spare jumper for the end of the week to avoid having to put the washing machine on when your child does not come home as clean as they were when you sent them to school, but needs to have clean uniform for the next day!

We also welcome any volunteers to help with laundering of donated items.  Please contact the school office if you are able to help in this way. If you have any good quality preloved uniform that your child has outgrown please send it into school. There is always someone who will be able to make good use of it.
