Our Class Assembly!
Today was our class assembly all about Space, the children were amazing! Thank you to everyone that came to watch.
It is hard to believe that we are half way through year 2!
You have all worked so hard and I was so proud of your achievements in your practice SATs!!!
This half term we will be continuing to learn about Space and the history of travel and transport, before we design and make our own WACKY vehicle and host our very own 'wacky race!'
World book day!!
We all had an amazing day exploring the wonderful world of books yesterday!! All of your costumes were amazing!! Here are just a few pictures of the funfilled day!!
Chinese New Year
The children have enjoyed learning about the Nian dragon this week. They have made Chinese drums, written their name in Chinese writing and written some fabulous descriptions of the Nian.

Autumn Term Treat
This term children from year 2 were chosen for our termly treat based on there MAGIC powers. Well done to all 14 children from year 2 that have been chosen.
This week we have been celebrating 100 years since the end of WW1. The children in year 2 have been learning about children who lived through WW1 and WW2, they have written diaries about an air raid and about being evacuated. Everyone has also made a gas mask, poppy from a bottle and children of the ear art work.
Our class Eco-Warriors
Lily and Cameron have been selected by the children to represent out class on the schools Eco-council. They children will work together to make our school more eco friendly, helping to recycle and switching off lights.
Aiden and Destinie have been selected to represent our class on the school council. They will listen to the suggestions of our class and take them back to council meetings. They have a very important job todo.
Our first topic is Pirates!
We will be using our geography skills to follow pirate maps and routes and researching the history of life at sea.
If you have any pirate stories or books please bring them to school to share with us.
